Question: Is Go Global a denomination or a network of independent churches?Answer: Neither

Question: Was the first century church in Corinth or Ephesus independent or part of a denomination? Answer: Neither. These churches would have looked vastly different, just as the cities looked different, and yet they would have the same theological foundation and very similar values. They had the same DNA. How did this happen? Because Paul and his team had helped found both churches. In the New Testament we don’t see denominations, nor do we see independent churches, what we see is apostolic families of churches working together with shared each other and with other apostolic families. As Go Global we believe this biblical model is God’s design for all generations.

So what does it mean to be part of Go Global…

Expectations

  • We expect churches to teach Foundations, a course for new members, so we’re all moving forward with a shared theology.

  • We expect churches to tithe their income to Go Global in order to resource the planting of new churches and support of existing churches.

  • We’d expect Pastors to participate in a monthly Global leadership hub for support and encouragement.

  • We’d expect Pastors to come to our annual Global pastors retreat.

  • We expect churches to pastors and key leaders to engage with Global Leaders Days (2-3 times a year).

  • We expect churches to churches to participate in 2 weeks of prayer and fasting annually (a week in September and a week in January).

  • We expect churches to our churches to proactively make disciples, show compassion for the poor in their communities and be a catalyst for unity.

Hopes

  • We’d hope that churches would make the most of the opportunity to learn via the Global Classroom.

  • We’d hope churches would passionately engage with the process of releasing leaders to plant new churches.

  • We’d hope that key leaders would give time beyond their local setting to be a blessing to the Go Global family (and indeed other churches).
